Disco de tributo a Jawbreaker en el que participan diversos grupos, algunos muy buenos, haciendo versiones de estos. Hay algunas realmente buenas como la de Face to face y otras más flojas. Además, he añadido (con asteriscos) otras versiones de Jawbreaker que tenía por ahí. Grandes los Foo Fighters (con Chris Shifflet a la voz en vez de Grohl) haciendo "Kiss the bottle" y Lagwagon dándole un toque feliz a un temazo como "Want".

24 Hour Revenge Therapy fue el tercer disco de Jawbreaker, banda a la que deben mucho grupos emblemáticos del folk punk actual. Liderados por Blake Schwarzenbach sus temas tienen un sonido crudo muy característico coronado por la voz rota de su frontman. Además, la producción corre a cargo de un maestro como Steve Albini. Este disco contiene alguno de los mejores temas del grupo como "Jinx Removing", "Do you still hate me?" o "Ashtray monument".

Éste es el primer, y el mejor, disco de estudio de Andrew Jackson Jihad. El dúo formado por guitarra/voz y contrabajo editó este esperpéntico disco en 2007. En él se dedican a disparar canciones de minuto y medio con coros cerveceros y letras bizarras pero cojonudas. Pese a estar grabado para Asian Man, el sonido es muy primitivo y la producción brilla por su ausencia. Justo esa desnudez en el sonido y la voz gritona le dan un punto de frescura que se echa de menos en otras grabaciones actuales. Hago una mención especial para "Bad bad things", una canción demasiado adictiva.

Un disco que no debe faltar en la estantería de cualquier fan del género.

Los pcoos que les conocemos esperábamos con muchas ganas, casi con ansiedad, el nuevo disco de Nothington. Los que escuchamos el All In teníamos muchas esperanzas puestas en el nuevo trabajo de los cracks de San Francisco. Y no nos vamos de vacío. Suena con la misma fuerza, energía, intensidad y belleza que el anterior. La novedad más destacable es la participación de la segunda voz, ganando ésta mucho protagonismo en algunos temas. A Mistake, If You Say So, Another Day o This Conversation Ends harán las delicias de todos los amantes del punk folk. De lo que al parecer también se llama últimamente orgcore. Hi, guys and girls. First of all, thanks for visiting the blog and making the effort to search and choose the downloads among the tons of descriptions in spanish. We really appreciate it. Yes, we are aware that the language is a problem for many of you. We recieved in our group in last.fm some petitions to switch the language we use here from spanish to english. Personally, I would not have a real problem at all with it, but I also know that many other people in the blog would. Because we all don't have the same enlgish level, or the same capacity to write it properly, or to express ourselves with it.

However, since we care about our visitors, we decided to offer you what we consider a decent option. We introduced a GoogleTranslator gadget at the top of the left side of the blog.

All you have to do is open out the list and select the language you want to translate the blog to!
Right, this means that you will be able to read the blog on your own language. Of course, the accuracy of the automatic translation will decrease as the gramatical differences between the languages increase.
Anyway, I think the translation to english is pretty decent and, of course, enough to understand our descriptions of the bands, wich, in the end, is what you were asking for!

So we all hope that you now enjoy the blog more and more than you did before!

Lo-Fi Records y que se distribuye en forma de descarga gratuita desde su misma página web. En cualquier caso, nosotros os lo ofrecemos también en descarga directa. Para hacerlo más interesante, los chicos han añadido un par de extras que consisten en dos versiones alternativas de otros temas, grabados en Junio exclusivamente para este The First Six Months.
